Welcome
to our new website. We hope that
you find it to be informative as
you plan your travels.
When
you stay at Spencer's Island...,
stay at the campground..., or
just explore the beach..., the
coming and goings of the tides
will amaze you.
When
the tide is in, the ocean will be
within 50 feet of your campsite.
When it goes out (every six
hours), you can walk out on the
ocean floor up to 1/4 of a
mile.
Every
tide cycle will expose new
treasures of the sea, from
fossils to parts of old ships
that lay on the bottom that the
ocean has reclaimed.
Sea
shell collecting is a new
adventure every day, as the ocean
is constantly
changing.
We
hope that you can come and enjoy
Spencer's Island, the people, and
the awesome beauty of the Bay of
Fundy.
